Episode 2: Take at Least Five w/ Wine

In college I was able to take two Jazz appreciation courses. Listening to, and talking about music is fun, educational, enlightening, and inspiring. Many of the songs and artists I learned about in those courses made an impact and none more than Dave Brubeck. The songs are soft but moving and often times with Latin influence or pure originality. "Take Five" is probably his best known tune and for good reason. It is in a league/world of its own.

In 2019-2020 I originally began writing this essay but was never satisfied with it solely as written word. Once in a while I would read it out loud while the song played and that felt right. A little more beatnik, with the feel of a smoky, brick-lined Jazz club. Envision small round tables, the rustle of chatter, glasses clinking, a cough here and there, and people paying attention because that is what they were there for.

This audio is influenced by radio DJs, poets, drunks, and others. It's been fun exploring the audio medium.

The episode art is AI.

Thanks for listening.
